2022 Fair Person of the Year

Diane Roeber was the 2022 Wayne County Fair Person of the Year recipient.

She has been the Wayne County Agricultural Society Secretary for 9 years. She has been responsible for supporting the board members and treasurer to help keep them organized and complete tasks that allow them to focus on more advanced responsibilities. She organizes meeting, prepares communications, composed documents on behalf of the board members, manages accounts and performs bookkeeping. She is professional and greets our fair patrons with respect and enthusiasm. She puts in countless hours and is a true asset to the success of our Wayne County Fair.

She has been attending the Wayne County fair for 30 plus years. She and her husband, Garry, have three children that were active in 4-H at the fair: Daniel, Matthew and FayeMarie. Diane has been helping with the Fair since her oldest son, Daniel, was young. She has helped in many domains, whether it was with her own children and their 4-H projects, being a 4-H club leader or helping with 4-H check in day. Diane and her husband, Garry, have also previously been involved with hog weigh-ins and the hog show.

Diane is always willing to help with whatever is needed, and the Wayne County Fair has become a true passion of hers. Trust me when I say you can find Diane most any night of the week during the whole year, not just fair week, in the Fair Office.
